„I Don’t Wanna Lose Her“ besitzt geheimes Hitpotential: Loop-Taste drücken ist Bürger-Pflicht!

Bei mystisch-inspirierten Klängen verbindet der Hörer seine Gedanken mit denen des Eremo (You See What I Can See).

After now three years of creative work we can look forward to the 6th release of the electric tinkerer WIKU from the Swiss South Jura. With Volcano the producer duo presents an album full of power, radiance and depth. In the WIKU forge, the Swiss star cooks melted their sound recipes into convincing musical-creative top performances in electro-pop and jazz. The new WIKU production is as hot as a volcano that brings its glowing magma to the earth’s surface.

“Easy Living”, a light and airy opener leads through blooming gardens and offers a fantastic view over the harbour in a bay. “Pong” is considered the forefather of all video games published by Atari in 1972. An added “Ping” brings us directly into a running game on the tournament course (Ping Pong Song).
Let’s pick a citrus fruit in a historical garden (let’s try again) and let ourselves be seduced by exotic, but not winterproof jazz melodies. The song doesn’t seem baroque at all, as it was expected from a Limonaia in the 17th and 18th century in palaces and gardens. “I Don’t Wanna Lose Her” has secret hit potential: pressing the loop key is a citizen duty!

The sound artists prove their depth with acoustic images of mighty long water waves, as deep as a tsunami that piles up on the flat coast to a high, compressed tidal wave and carries the water far beyond its shoreline. “Oje” is a successful acoustic transformation of the current climate change.
What would WIKU be without its expeditions through our planet? Let us witness rising, fairy-like fog (Misty), as it develops in the winter half-year near waters. Fantastic trumpet-like jazz sounds clarify the natural spectacle, accompanied by indefinite voices of earth dwellers, air currents…
… and springs of streams that form a meandering fluvius (river). A “reverse” intro with a backward beginning is mysteriously exciting, fits seamlessly into the flumina.

Hermits lead a secluded life of prayer in lonely Klaussen. With mystically inspired sounds the listener connects his thoughts with those of the Eremo (You See What I Can See). Anyone who has ever wandered through the hermitage of St. Verena in Rüttenen / Solothurn, which is still inhabited today, will feel the existing connection to the consecrated hermitage. If mental orientation and cognitive abilities are lost, confusion prevails: loss of space and time, loss of one’s own identity and its references. Disorientation and confusion occur (Aij, Aij, Aij). With soft sounds of his electronic guitar WIKU producer and founder Kurt appears one last time on the show stage (Theme for Kurt).

Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, robot study: Interactions with the physical world are based on sensors, actuators and information processing (Roboti). Through programming a controlled cooperation of robot electronics and robot mechanics is created.
„Somewhere“ in our solar system we find the ring planet Saturn, named after the Roman God of wealth and harvest. After a short trip through the planetary cycle, Roman mythology takes us back to planet Earth to the Italian island in the Tyrrhenian Sea: “Vulcano”. The island was regarded as the forge of Vulcanus, the Roman God of Fire, and at the same time serves as a melting pot for WIKU sound recipes and as the eponym of the album. „Chillout by Willibone” offers a chilled ending with trombones and didgeridoo, just as WIKU likes it.

WIKU, founded in 2007 as an electronic project by the Swiss composer and producer duo Willi + Kurt Gasser, visualizes their three-dimensional acoustic visions for film music dominated by electronic sounds. In their mysterious studio test tube, musical genes of the old 70’ies electronic avant-garde, antique electropop and modern trance sound are brilliantly combined to create an evolution soundtrack.
WIKU’s music is very colorful, dynamic and sounds atmospheric, imaginative and relaxing. In an astonishing way WIKU succeeds again and again to combine sound fragments of different everyday noises with much skill to a musical complete work. With innovative instrumentations, WIKU have created their own unmistakable sound. It is based on smoother (World)-Jazz, outstandingly orchestrated with strings. Inspired by Enigma, Enya, Frank Duval, Pat Metheny, Vollenweider, Yello and the whole world, he created catchy film music and TV compositions.
