Die Fans lieben seine Musik. J. Boss tourte schon in den sechziger Jahren mit den Beat-Größen Lords, Rattles und Liverbirds durch deutsche Lande. Die J. BOSS BLUES BAND (JBBB) war Anfang der 70er Jahre eine der ersten Bluesbands im süddeutschen Raum und tourten zu dieser Zeit quer durch die Republik. In diese Zeit fallen unter anderem Auftritte als Begleitband von Errol Dixon, Eddie Taylor & Louis Meyers, Jim Kahr (ex John Lee Hooker Band) und Judy Cheeks. Um sich breiter aufzustellen, strich man den “Blues” aus dem Bandnamen und trat fortan als J. BOSS BAND auf. Die Band feierte Erfolge und spielte in Live-Clubs, Diskotheken, auf Rock-Festivals und Biker-Meetings.
Filmkomponist und Rocklegende J. Boss stand mit den größten Blues-, Jazz- und Rocklegenden auf der Bühne, darunter Lords, Rattles, Errol Dixon, Jim Kahr (ex John Lee Hooker Band), Judy Cheeks, Henry Gray, Howlin’ Wolf Band, Eric Burdon, Puhdys, Dr. Feelgood, Savoy Brown Blues Band, Blues Brothers, Rory Gallagher und eine Deutschland-Tournee mit Bo Diddley. Im Jahr 1989 komponierte und spielte J. Boss den Soundtrack zum Film „Unter weitem Himmel“ von Oluf Zierl.
Die J. Boss Band löste sich schließlich 2010 auf. Doch danach gründete J. Boss erneut eine Bluesband. 2019 entstanden neue Studioaufnahmen. Mit ihrem neuen Album “White Cats Play The Blues” startet die J. BOSS BLUES BAND nun neu durch und ist auch mit Live-Auftritten wieder präsent. Blues will never die!

The fans love his music. J. Boss toured Germany back in the sixties with the beat greats Lords, Rattles and Liverbirds. The J. BOSS BLUES BAND (JBBB) was one of the first blues bands in southern Germany in the early 1970s and toured all over the country at that time. During this time, they performed as the backing band for Errol Dixon, Eddie Taylor & Louis Meyers, Jim Kahr (ex John Lee Hooker Band) and Judy Cheeks. In order to broaden the band’s base, they dropped the “Blues” from their name and began performing as the J. BOSS BAND. The band celebrated success and played in live clubs, discotheques, at rock festivals and biker meetings.
Film composer and rock legend J. Boss has performed on stage with the greatest blues, jazz and rock legends, including Lords, Rattles, Errol Dixon, Jim Kahr (ex John Lee Hooker Band), Judy Cheeks, Henry Gray, Howlin’ Wolf Band, Eric Burdon, Puhdys, Dr. Feelgood, Savoy Brown Blues Band, Blues Brothers, Rory Gallagher and a German tour with Bo Diddley. In 1989, J. Boss composed and played the soundtrack to the film “Unter weitem Himmel” by Oluf Zierl.
The J. Boss Band finally disbanded in 2010. However, J. Boss then founded another blues band. New studio recordings were made in 2019. With their new album “White Cats Play The Blues”, the J. BOSS BLUES BAND is now taking off again and is also performing live again. Blues will never die!
