Mae Chee Brigitte is Austrian. For more than 25 years, she has been living in Thailand as a Buddhist nun. She is teaching meditation in Asia, Europe and America – in her own, very personal way. According to Thai theravada tradition, yet open, modern and full of empathy.
Bringing mindfulness into everyday life by just breathing, learning to let go of worries and problems are her missions. In simple words she instructs her students. And guides them on their way to physical and mental relaxation. 4 hours of meditations introduce the most important techniques: basics, body contemplation, walking and metta (loving kindness).
Mae Chee Brigitte’s ‘Meditations from Thailand’ were not recorded in a studio but in a temple at the foot of Kao Yai national park’s mountains in central Thailand. They are atmospheric recordings of real guided meditations. Listeners can just close their eyes, immerse into the sounds of her guiding voice, the concert of crickets, geckoes and tropical nature. Mae Chee takes her audience on a touching journey of the mind, at the same time giving directions how to meditate succesfully and in a relaxing way. It is so easy!
